When buying any electronic device, we must make sure that it works perfectly, and in the case of kitchen robots, they are no exception, since these are devices that may not work correctly depending on the type of recipes we prepare.

And now the manufacturer forwerk warns that if you have Thermomix TM6 You might get in trouble if you are preparing a series of recipes in which the food may spill out of the glass uncontrollably and thus burn the customer.

This apparently happens when cooking above 95°C with the lid tightly closedwhich can lead to spillage of food. According to the OCU, the problem arises “because the cup fits the lid very well, and although this part is designed to release steam, in some recipes food can rise up to the lid and block the vents.“.

The solution offered by the manufacturer is that customers, when preparing recipes with long temperatures or heating they should avoid covering the lid with the cup and use a perforated basket instead.

On the other hand, an update of all the recipes included in the Thermomix is also available with a new recommendation to use a basket instead of a cup.

However, the OCU points out that “the manufacturer bears full responsibility for this malfunction and that the safety of the devices must be carefully checked before they are offered for sale“.

On the other hand, it indicates that the manufacturer must “offer your customers free assistance in updating their devices” and that they should address this design issue as soon as possible by improving the cup and offering the updated part free of charge to all current Thermomix TM6 owners.
