In Spain, they know a lot about trains. We’ve been using them for just about everything for two centuries, even though our spidery communication system favors the capital too much over the periphery. Despite this, our investment is high.

The main operator in our country is Renfe, and from its side there are lines, advances and, of course, problems. But today we come up to talk about a milestone we just reached. By the way, these tricks will come in handy if you want to buy cheap tickets.

The Talgo train range, a classic you all no doubt know, has reached 360 km/h with a Talgo Avril model during tests on the Ouresen-Santiago route. (a classic sandbox for the company, by the way). Want to travel for free by train?

This speed of 360 km/h puts it at an AVE height. (Spanish Expressway) our most capable and leading train, which sells very well outside of Spain and is also our link between the most important stations. And Wigo competes with him.

If with a direct AVE you can get from Madrid to Barcelona in just 2 hours 45 minutes (by car we are talking about 6:30 hours)Talgo Avril can offer the same time and cost much less as it is significantly cheaper to produce than its big brother.

Talgo Avril’s goal is high efficiency and low costs.. According to the company, the trio consists of 12 passenger cars, 200 meters long and only one height. When fully loaded, it could carry 581 passengers from one point to another.

The AVE, to give you an idea, can carry a maximum of 347 passengers. (without crew and service). Thus, we are talking about a little less than twice as many users. Thus, the cost of the ticket will inevitably decrease.

Right now, the Talgo Avril is still being tested and awaiting further approval from technicians in already programmed tests. Its maximum speed limit is currently 300 km/h, but the idea is that it can safely travel at 330 km/h.
