While most rumors about iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and Apple Watch proved to be accurate, including the last minute on the Pros, there were a few that ended up failing. The pages of MacRumors they collected the most important ones that turned out to be wrong.
On September 8, 2021, Apple’s leaker Jon Prosser claimed thatiPhone 14 Pro Max would have a flat back no frame for the cameras, a single hole, new speakers and more, all bad news.
A rumor initially suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would be offered in a 2TB storage configuration along with the existing 1TB option. The rationale was that with more advanced cameras, Apple would provide a greater storage option for photographers and videographers to store high-resolution content. This was not the case as Apple continues to offer a 1TB option as the highest capacity ever seen on an iPhone with the iPhone 14 Pro series.
It was later suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would be offered in a brand new titanium model. This turned out not to be the case either, as Apple used the same materials as their respective predecessors on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
