The Ministry of Digital Development will allocate 28 billion rubles for software import substitution projects, companies will invest another 155 billion rubles, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said.
He said that the working tables with the participation of the heads of large companies selected 216 projects for the implementation of import substitution tasks.
“Until the end of the year, all the decisions we support will also receive budget funds. The Ministry of Digital Development provides more than 28 billion rubles for the implementation of projects, “said the Deputy Prime Minister, his words are quoted by the government press service.
Chernyshenko specified that the software of the Russian development will be implemented in such areas as the electric power industry, mechanical engineering, transportation, metallurgy and a number of other areas.
According to the deputy prime minister, companies are showing interest in creating an independent national IT infrastructure.
“The industries have come together and, under the supervision of the heads of digital transformations from all departments, they will develop these projects together and invest in them,” Chernyshenko explained.
He added that the business is ready to allocate more than 155 billion rubles.
The projects will be implemented within the framework of the Industrial Competence Centers (ICC), which were created in the name of Prime Minister Mishustin. On the basis of these centers, customers and developers carry out joint activities to launch and introduce new products.
The government believes that national software should be oriented not only to the domestic market, but also to export. Development is planned to start in the near future, with the first results expected in 2024.
