Along with the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Google also officially presented the highly anticipated Pixel watch, the first smartwatch Made by Google. We’ll tell you right away that there’s some great bad news: Initially, the Pixel Watch won’t be available in Italy.
The appearance – thanks to the official renderings and the many leaks – was already known: it is clean and elegant, but also extraordinarily charismatic. The 41 mm stainless steel case is round, while the display is in Gorilla Glass 3D Glass. We find a physical crown on the right, while Google explained that the case is made from 80% recycled materials.
Also interesting are the straps, made in fluoroelastomer and already rated – by those who had tried them – extremely comfortable. In total, it will be possible to choose from 20 different models, including some metal and fabric tires. Room for customization also with regard to the Wear OS 3 digital watch faces, which the user can select at will.
Technology is borrowed from Fitbit, another Google company with a lot of experience in the wearables and fittrackers sector. The same Fitbit algorithms guarantee continuous tracking of sports activities and vital signs (SpO2, heart rate and sleep).
With the purchase of Pixel Watches, Google is giving away 6 months of Fitbit Premium and 3 months of YouTube Premium. The price? In the US it starts at $349.99.
Okay, but how long does it take to arrive in Italy? Good question. A year ago, Google had chosen to only make the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro available in a small number of countries, including our own. Finally, the smartphones arrived in Italy about 6 months later, in March. Cross your fingers, the wait won’t be particularly long this time either.
The Pixel Watch is now available exclusively in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Japan, Australia and Taiwan.
