Chewing on coffee beans or doing push-ups won’t prevent, no matter how you’re told to the contrary, that a breathalyzer will detect that you’ve had more alcohol than you should before you drive.
via twitter, DGT reveals 5 tricks that don’t work to avoid a positive alcohol test and 2 that do..
distribute Many practical jokes about what drivers who have drunk more alcohol than necessary can do to avoid punishment in case the traffic police stop them at a checkpoint (in this link we will tell you the reasons why they can stop you at one) .
The truth is that almost all of them are just hoaxes; fake information which spread very quickly and only confuse drivers, and in this case also pose a serious danger to all road users.
Five tricks that won’t stop you from getting a positive breathalyzer test result
Chewing coffee, sucking on a lemon, or exercising (push-ups are a true story that has been tested in more than one breathalyzer test) do not fool the breathalyzer and do not help. drunk alcohol disappears faster (Be careful, hungover driving can be just as dangerous as drunk driving.)
This is part of five tricks that don’t work to avoid a positive breathalyser test, as DGT recalls via Twitter:
Tricks that DO NOT WORK to bypass security checks #drugs:❌Wait 1-2 hours❌Drink coffee beans, energy drinks, lemon❌Drink water❌Exercise or sweat❌Sleep a little It just WORKS:✅ Don’t use them if you’re going to drive✅ Wait at least 5 or 6 hours#Zero Risks pic.twitter.com/svBjwT71dM

DGT experts note that one or two hours is not enough for alcohol exposure to decrease enough to be within the legal limits for driving. The minimum waiting time should be between 5 and 6 hours (although this will depend on the amount ingested and the physical condition of each person).
Also, you can’t avoid a fine (here are fines for drunk driving and in a state of drug intoxication) to drink water or get some sleep.
Two tricks that work in the breathalyzer
The answer to the search many people do on Google about tricks to not test positive for a breathalyzer comes down to two options: don’t drink alcohol before driving, or wait 5 to 6 hours.
The new Law on Road Traffic and Road Safety introduces zero alcohol limit for some drivers. For now, this only applies to those under the age of 18, but more and more experts are calling for making 0.0 mandatory for everyone.
