As we announced last week, microsoft Office will have a new application, a new look and feel, and new features. Changes to the popular suite will start rolling out next month on Office.com and later in the app at Window and on mobile.

In terms of productivity apps, Microsoft Office this has been the world standard for quite some time. Now the iconic software is undergoing the biggest update in decades: starting next month, Microsoft will only offer one Office and that will be 365.

For those currently using Microsoft Office, this will not affect your account, profile, subscription, or files. according to Microsoft. The app will automatically update with a new icon and a new name.

Microsoft says the app Microsoft 365 will be the starting point for the user to access the tools and contents of the set that will be available. The changes will affect anyone who uses the Office app on Windows or macOS.

After its release, the new Microsoft 365 App will be available online, in the Windows Store, as well as through Google Play and the Apple Store.


New content in Microsoft Office

As for upcoming changes, new content creation types and templates will be available. There will also be a new application module that will allow the user to discover new applications and launch and pin the tools they use the most.

All users will have access to the My Content feature, which was previously only available to business customers.. Don’t worry about losing access to your favorite tools as Microsoft says Office won’t go away entirely.

What is Office 365?

You will still have access to applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Customers will also have the option to purchase these applications as a one-time purchase of the Office 2021 version, the latest suite released by the American giant.

For its part, Microsoft 365 will support Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Loop, Clipchamp, and the company’s new Designer app.. The app will work seamlessly across desktop and mobile devices, simplifying your workflow.

If you have purchased Microsoft Office in the past and are still using it, you should be aware that new features will most likely not be added to this service. So if you want to stay up to date with the latest and greatest Microsoft offerings, you need to upgrade to Microsoft 365.
