The new beta for Android or WhatsApp has introduced a rich package of interesting news. Version 2.22.23.9 introduces the much discussed avatar which will one day also fill Mark Zuckerberg’s metaverse. The update also goes to large group chats.
But let’s do it in order: avatars allow us to create a digital version of ourselves. For now, the test of the new feature concerns only a small group of users selected by WhatsApp.
After a new avatar is created, WhatsApp will automatically generate a sticker pack modified – similar to Apple’s Memoji. The avatar can also be used as WhatsApp profile picture. As we mentioned, not all users were subscribed to the beta they can test avatars right away: they must be selected by WhatsApp. You can check the availability of the function in the settings.
In addition, version 2.22.23.9 of the WhatsApp Android beta will also make life a little easier for members of the more group chatswhich is now maximum 1024 users. Once you join a group chat with more than 256 people, the user will be notified that notifications have been muted automatically. In short, unless you want to, you won’t be inundated with notifications and spam.
