Deleting your personal information from the Internet will soon be a little easier. google announced a series of new measures against the so-called ‘doxxing

In general, by doxxing we refer to the practice of ‘exposing’ a person: for example, by revealing the true identity of someone presenting themselves under anonymity, or – more relevant in this case – by providing confidential information that are not in the public domain, such as your home address, telephone number or workplace information.

Google’s new rules make it easier for you to protect yourself against: identity theft It will be possible to ask the search engine to remove links leading to a range of personal information.

The list of information that can be deleted by Google is quite long and includes:

Among other things, Google agrees to also remove other sensitive information or images, such as explicit or intimate photos, pornographic deepfakes, or compromising photo montages.

It is possible to request the deletion of the information via an ad hoc created form. Google will review the request and respond as soon as possible with the outcome of the review process.
