Over there State Police Ordered 616 Alfa Romeo Tonale. The Biscione’s SUVs will be used for road patrols. The agreement confirms a partnership – that between Alfa and Italian law enforcement agencies – that has extremely deep roots.
The order of the state police is close to that of the Carabinieri, which recently ordered 360 units. In either case, the Tonale will be sold in the lineup Heavy Land Protectionwhich includes some precautions necessary to make the Tonale suitable for public safety duties.
The order was, of course, preceded by a Consip tender. A total of 1,300 Alfa Romeos (including Stelvio) have been purchased by the Italian government.
The Alfa Romeo Tonale in heavy territory protection is characterized by the internal compartments – including that responsible for the weapon -, by the white and blue livery of the State Police and, of course, by the armor and partition necessary to protect the accommodation to distribute from the driver from the back seat.
Under the hood of this special version of the Tonale we find an engine 160 hp 1.5 hybrid combined with front-wheel drive and 7-speed robotic dual-clutch gearbox.
