UNTIL Ecoworldthe fair dedicated to the green economy, the Region of Umbria presented the Manifesto circular bio-economy. The goal is to become a place for experimentation new development paradigms and where it is possible to consolidate an innovative ecosystem of circular bioeconomy.

In this context, from a collaboration between the region of Umbria and Novamontindustry leader of bioplasticsthe Manifesto came to life, which is based on the main points that will be the subject of discussion between the various stakeholders. The aim is to produce a final version by the end of 2008 January 2023 which will then be presented to the executive and discussed at a convention to be held in Umbria in April.

The main points on which the manifesto focuses are:

The time has come for Umbria to show clearly what it is. A region with incredible potential in terms of developing circular bioeconomy supply chains, where administration and private stakeholders work tirelessly to experiment with a model of integration between agricultural and industrial supply chains that can then be replicated elsewhere.

Italy has an important excellence in this sector, we must not allow this know-how and the high level of innovation that we have achieved to be lost.
