Last night Elon Musk he spoke more or less in Italian. The billionaire has retweeted a newspaper article The Republic: we were talking about one of his companies and it was written by Andrea Stroppa, an IT security expert who had interacted with Musk on Twitter several times in the past.

“Because Starlink can become an opportunity for Italy,” reads the title of the article that the founder of Tesla and SpaceX. “Yes,” is the lapidary comment that accompanies the retweet.

Andrew Stroppa, who has carved out a role for himself in the world of hacking and innovation since childhood, had recently shared his experiences with Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet service, on Twitter. “I live in the Italian suburbs,” he wrote. «On the left my old ISP, on the right my connection with star links». 9.25 Mbps on one side, 281.48 Mbps on the other.

Stroppa is a recurring name in Elon Musk’s feed. Thanks to his experience in studying the phenomenon of bot machines and coordinated disinformation on social networks, the young Italian was one of the first to publicly support the entrepreneur’s allegations against Twitter. This is how he earns his attention and respect.

And if Stroppa periodically ends up in Musk’s retweets, the frequency of the appearance of the billionaire’s name on the Italian wall is even more important. “The media portrays Elon Musk as an idiot, but who is the real idiot? Who hasn’t fallen for the Sam Bankscam-Fried scam [sic] or who has dozens of covers and interviews dedicated to him?” reads a Nov. 12 post. And Musk replies, puts out a heart and raises by sharing memes. And so on dozens of other occasions.
