AOC has introduced a new curved ultra-wide monitor for (home) office use. The CU34P2C combines a 34-inch VA panel with 1500R curvature, 3,440 x 1,440 pixel resolution and 100Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the integrated USB hub is equipped with a type-c port that offers 65 watts of power.
The average brightness of the screen is 300 nits. The manufacturer claims to cover 120% of the srgb color space, as well as 85% of ntsc and 89% of Adobe rgb. With MPRT response times of 1ms and adaptive synchronization, GTG response times can be up to 4ms, although the display should also be suitable for occasional gaming.
Two HDMI 2.0 connectors and a displayport 1.2 connection provide video, while audio is provided by a headphone jack and two 3W speakers. USB hub consists of four type a port, type b and type c port, which also supports dp alt mode. In terms of ergonomics, the supplied stand allows for tilting and swivel, and is also height-adjustable.
The suggested retail price of the CU34P2C is 619 Euros and will be available later this month. At the time of writing, it was offered by the German PC-King for 625 euros.
