Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro+ are the phones that Vivo introduced today at the conference for the Chinese market, since it is in China (its home country) that Vivo always introduces its smartphones first.

Three models of the Vivo X90 family have arrived to compete with high-end devices in the Android ecosystem. To do this, they did not hesitate to choose the most powerful components on the market. For example, the latest MediaTek processor or Zeiss photo sensors.

Let’s see, as always, presented phones starting with its specificationsSince these are very similar commands, it will be easier for everyone to see the differences between them.

Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro+ are proof that Apple continues to be a leader for many brands, releasing very similar models that differ in size and cameras:

The Vivo X90 series will come in three models: Normal, Pro, and Pro+.

As we have already said, the Chinese company Vivo is going to release three models of its X90 series. These are Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro +, each of which is more powerful than the previous one. Or at least with better technology.

In this way, Vivo differentiates its three phone lines despite all being high-end lineups in the Android market, where it will have to stick with the Xiaomi 13 and Samsung Galaxy S23 in 2023.

Let’s see, one by one, what these three terminals offer by taking a quick look at their most important features. Because although they are similar, they are not identical to each other.

These two phones are the most similar to each other, as we will see in a moment. For starters, we have the same MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor. which we talked about so much in the magazine. At the moment, according to AnTuTu, this is the most powerful SoC on the Android market.

Along with this high-performance chip (which is not found in any smartphone yet), we see a very similar screen for both. We have a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel and Full HD resolution.which makes it clear that huge phones continue to be sold in the Chinese market.

Refresh rate up to 120Hzso gamers will be able to squeeze MediaTek’s SoC (a beast in gaming according to leaks) and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits which is amazing, perfect for outdoor use without problems.

In terms of RAM and storage memory, we can see that both of them can be configured in the same way. That is, it can choose between 8 and 12 GB of RAM and then 128/256/512 GB in storage. Nothing to expand gigabytes via microSD.

On a photographic level, we have an almost identical configuration. Vivo X90 has a 50-megapixel main lens with f/1.75 aperture and optical image stabilization; 12MP f/2.0 wide-angle lens and 12MP f/1.98 portrait sensor. The Vivo X90 Pro, for its part, has a 50MP f/1.75 main camera with OIS; 12MP f/2.0 wide-angle lens and 50MP f/1.6 portrait sensor.

Finally, we have a very similar battery section.. In the Vivo X90 we have 4810mAh with 120W wired fast charging and in the X90 Pro model they offer 4870mAh with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

I live X90 Pro +, top of the family

The Vivo X90 Pro+ is the jewel in the crown, and the company is so confident in its success that calls the phone’s camera “the king of one-inch sensors”.. It’s not the first phone to feature the Sony IMX989 image sensor, but Vivo has added a few improvements to it.

First, a quality lens. With an Abbe number of 81.6 (a higher number means less light scattering). It also has a Zeiss T* coating to reduce flare and ghosting.

The lens has a fairly wide aperture, f/1.75. (one Xiaomi has an f/1.9 lens), which lets in more light. And the large 1-inch IMX989 sensor offers 77% more light sensitive area compared to the 1/1.3-inch sensor on the Vivo X80 Pro.

smartphone capabilities

Vivo X90 Pro + is equipped with two telephoto lenses. The more interesting one is the 90mm periscope lens with 64MP sensor. It has a 3.5x optical zoom and a maximum 100x digital zoom.

In addition, there is a 50mm portrait lens (f/1.6, fixed focus) with a 50MP rear sensor (IMX758). All three cameras mentioned so far have optical image stabilization, which is quite rare to see in the industry.

And why do we pay so much attention to cameras? Because Vivo wants to differentiate this model from the rest thanks to the huge rear camera. But not the only way he differs from his younger brothers.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ has another key component that sets it apart from its siblings: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. For this top of the range in the high range, Vivo wanted to trust its partner Qualcomm, as it has done for the past five years.

Vivo X90 family pricing and availability

The Vivo X90 series was introduced in China, so its arrival in the West remains a mystery for now. However, in the past, we have seen the most advanced Vivo phones arrive in our country without much trouble (as happened with the Vivo X80).

If they arrive in Spain it usually takes a few weeks/months. So by Christmas or early 2023, that could be when they land in our country.. These are the prices they gave when converting yuan to euros (taxes should also be added).

  • Live X90 8/128 GB: €500
  • Live X90 12/512 GB: €680
  • Live X90 Pro 8/256GB: €680
  • Live X90 Pro 12/512 GB: €820
  • Live X90 Pro+ 12/512 GB: €950

If they manage to launch the top model (Vivo X90 Pro+) in Spain for less than 1,000 euros, it will be a success for the Chinese company at Christmas.
