whatsapp increasingly resemble Telegram. They’re coming comments on messagesi: with a simple tap it is possible to post a like (or any other similar emoji) in response to a post. The new(?) feature has been in talks since August 2021, but now it’s official: Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that the novelty will soon be available to all users.

In short, the test phase is over. The comments are introduced once and for all on WhatsApp. When? From today. The unroll it should leave in a few hours, maybe even a matter of minutes. Mark Zuckerberg confirmed this with an ad hoc message published on Facebook.

Until now, comments were only available in the WhatsApp beta The rollout will, as always, be gradual, meaning the news will be made available in phases, one group of users at a time. Responses to the app can take up to 48 hours to arrive, while some users receive them much sooner. It depends a bit on your luck (and maybe also on the smartphone you’re using).

If you use Messenger regularly, you already know how comments work: press and hold a message and choose between the different emojis available. In total there are six: Like it heart laughtears, bewildered face and finally emoji with folded hands in prayer.
