Google does not stop working on its software, especially since Google I / O is only a week away, and this time the news about Nearby Share, a feature for sharing files between Android users who are nearby..

Neighborhood Sharing is a feature of Google that allows us to send files of any typefrom links to zips or apks, seamlessly with nearby android users and that saves us a lot of steps compared to sending files via Bluetooth or uploading to Google Drive.

This incredible feature is based on Apple’s AirDrop, the first company to create this type of functionality, which also integrates perfectly into its entire ecosystem. Other companies like Huawei also have their own systems like Huawei Share and they work great too.

This allows us to use our Bluetooth network to find nearby devices and share the files we need via Wi-Fi transmission with just two clicks. For this and for security reasons it is necessary for another person to accept the transfer.

But this happened not only between different users, if not for sending files between our devices using Nearby Share, one would have to acceptsomething completely unnecessary since we are supposed to be the ones sending them.

This does not happen in AirDrop or Huawei Share, and as we told you a week ago, Google has been working on an option that if these devices are under the same Gmail account, the transfer is done directly, the way it should be. Besides, we already know what it looks like.

As Mishaal Rahman, an Android expert, tells us, this feature It will be activated if our device has at least version 22.15 of Google Play Services installed.. Therefore, if our device is in the same or later, it will already be activated.

If your Google Play Services is not yet activated, we can activate it by downloading the APK from a trusted source such as APKMirror and leaving you a link to version 22.15.

This is very good news for Android users that we will finally be able to take full advantage of the Wi-Fi networking capabilities of our devices, and it will make our life much easier and more comfortable.

ComputerHoy we have verified that this feature is indeed already activerunning on RedMagic 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro updated to version 22.15 of Google Play services.
