After months of rumors, AMD has released the Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT. These cards are equipped with faster memory, and also increased core clocks and power limits. The first special models are immediately available.
The refreshed RX 6050 XT cards use the same GPU as their predecessors, although the 16Gbps memory has been replaced by 18Gbps gddr6 (17.5 in the 6650 XT case). AMD chose to increase the power cap because of the combination of faster memory and slightly bumped core clocks. The RX 6950 XT has a TGP of 335 watts, which is 35 watts more than the RX 6900 XT. The RX 6750 XT and 6750 XT consume up to 250 and 180 watts, or 20 watts more than their smaller siblings.
GPU | Stream Processors | Game Clock/Upgrade Clock | Memory (GDDR6) | Bus | TBP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
RX 6950XT | 5.120 | 2.100/2.310MHz | 16GB @ 18Gbps | 256-bit | 335W |
RX6900XT | 5.120 | 2015/2.250MHz | 16GB @ 16Gbps | 256-bit | 300W |
RX 6750XT | 2,560 | 2.495/2.600MHz | 12GB @ 18Gbps | 192 bits | 250W |
RX6700XT | 2,560 | 2.424/2.581MHz | 12GB @ 16Gbps | 192 bits | 230W |
RX 6650XT | 2,048 | 2,410/2.635MHz | 8GB @ 17.5Gbps | 128 bits | 180W |
RX6600XT | 2,048 | 2.359/2.589MHz | 8GB @ 16Gbps | 128 bits | 160W |
According to AMD’s first-party benchmarks, the RX 6950 XT is positioned between the RTX 3090 and 3090 Ti, while the RX 6750 XT should outperform the RTX 3070. Finally, the RX 6650 XT should outperform the RTX 3060. Given the small boost of the new Navi 23-based GPU, it will eventually replace its younger sibling. The 6950 XT and 6750 XT will be offered alongside existing SKUs.
The new cards will have a higher retail price than their counterparts, but it’s not yet clear how big the difference will be in practice. The RX 6950 XT and RX 6750 XT can be found on the AMD website for 1,249 and 624 Euros respectively. The 6650 XT is not sold directly by AMD, but has already been spotted in some webshops at the time of writing. The 6950 XT and 6750 XT are also available in our affiliated webshops.
