Starting May 10, 2022, Home and Pro editions of Windows 10 versions 1909 and 20H2 will no longer be supported with security and quality updates. The Patch update for Tuesday, May 10, was the final update, Microsoft reported. Non-commercially managed devices are automatically updated to a newer version of the operating system.

On October 14, 2025, all OS support for consumers will end and they will then have to migrate to Windows 11. This is evident from a table of support times for the different versions.

The tech giant reports in another message that Internet Explorer 11 will be retired on June 15 this year. The browser is gradually being replaced by Edge on Windows and will eventually be completely disabled in an update. In Windows 11, the old browser is already missing.
