AMD uses two new codenames internally to describe the technologies included in the following generally knowledgeable RDNA 3 graphics cards: data miner Kepler† AMD would continue to use fish-related names with Plum Bonito and Gemini. This early pile of information should of course be taken with a grain of salt, as relatively little official information about RDNA 3 technology has been published.
Plum Bonito, a dish made with bonito fish, leaky see asic for a series of Navi 31 video cards. Probably regarding an RX 7900 XT video card, it will be the first 3-series Navi GPU to use a codename. Such codename tricks are often used to indicate internal development of a new product, for example without any data miners in the Linux code who can easily figure out exactly what it’s all about.
