Apple is preparing to update its HomePod smart speaker to a new size that will be released at the end of the year.

One of the hottest market niches right now is smart speakers, a market that is bringing a lot of success to companies like Amazon, but other tech companies like Apple are still looking to find their niche.

And yet, you certainly know the Apple HomePod, both the regular version, already discontinued, and the mini version, and it looks like Cupertino is working on launching a new version in the coming months.

And the fact is that, according to a prominent analyst in Ming Chi KuoApple is gearing up to launch a new version of the HomePod later this year or early 2023, but is already warning that from a design standpoint, it will hardly be a great innovation with something that can be intuitively practically traced back to what we already know.

Apple will release a new version of the HomePod in Q4 2022 – Q1 2023, and there may not be much innovation in hardware design. Smart speakers are undoubtedly one of the most important elements of the home ecosystem, but I think Apple is still figuring out how to succeed in this market.

Formerly one of the most famous analysts, Mark Gurmannnoted that this new smart speaker from Apple will have a design between HomePod mini and the original HomePodbecause it seems that those from Cupertino could definitely only bet on one speaker in the market, rather than two.

And the fact is that while the original HomePod is no longer for sale, the fact that there are two speakers on the market may have affected certain sales, and it seems that they want to bet on something much more uniform in the future.

Apple is still looking to gain a foothold in the market for smart speakers, speakers that could be in every home in the world and even a few in every home, so success in this market is a guarantee of good economic performance.
