This is the year’s most irreverent ‘space comedy’ starring two great actors
A very good-looking space comedy premieres today
When was the last time I enjoyed it? Comedy movie on Apple TV+ It was with Argylle a few weeks ago. Although my wife fell asleep at the end (of course) and it felt a bit long to me. Oh my God, it seemed like it would never end! But I laughed so hard at it and the narration really got to me.

Today I’m here to tell you about another Apple TV+ comedy movie, specifically a space comedy that Apple announced for April 2024 and that promises a lot.
‘Fly with me to the moon’ Not only will it be the most irreverent space comedy of the year, but it will also feature a dream cast and a gorgeous setting.
‘Fly Me To The Moon’ opens in cinemas today
New “space” movie on Apple TV+ opens in theaters today, July 12 and will soon do so on Apple’s streaming platform.
This is a movie Founded in the 60s and is inspired by NASA’s Apollo 11 mission. Personally, I really want to see it because it seems to have a little bit of everything: clever humor, great costumes, small doses of romance, and a story that deserves to be told.
But best of all is the cast; it stars two of Hollywood’s highest-rated actors. Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. But the movie also stars Woody Harrelson and Ray Romano. Guaranteed fun!
As for its theme, its official trailer makes it clear: This is no ordinary comedy. Hollywood idiot. The movie completely plunges us into NASA’s attempts to “sell the Moon” to the American people in the 60s.
As the character played by Channing Tatum prepares for the Moon mission, Scarlett Johansson’s role is to have a “plan B” in case everything goes wrong. Namely, the moon landing fake. According to urban legend, it’s a montage that Stanley Kubrick could have done in real life.
Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum on the set of ‘Fly Me To The Moon’
‘Fly Me To The Moon’ gives us a whole new way of talking about “one small step for mankind” or “one giant leap for mankind” depending on how you look at it. Plus, Scarlett Johansson’s performance is consistently excellent… and the ’60s look suits her so well!
But ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ doesn’t seem like a movie to be taken too seriously. You have to take it with a sense of humor and indulge in the cast’s disrespect for their interpersonal relationships.. I think that’s where the real magic lies. Especially between the two lead actors. If it ends up being one of Apple TV+’s best movies, we’ll have to wait and see.
This isn’t the only original content on Apple TV+ that focuses on the space race between the US and Russia. If you like the theme, we also recommend checking out ‘For All Mankind,’ an alternate reality series that sees Russia first reaching the Moon.
