Apple presented at its developer event, new 15-inch MacBook AirA laptop with a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, M2 chip, and up to 18 hours of battery life, it offers immersive spatial audio with the power and convenience of a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe charging, and macOS Ventura.
With a starting price of $1,099, or $4,719,919, the computer is available for purchase starting Tuesday, June 13.
“We are pleased to introduce the first 15-inch MacBook Air. With its incredible performance and stunning design, The new MacBook Air is the world’s best 15-inch laptop. “And that’s only possible with Apple silicon,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering.
The new MacBook Air is only 11.5mm thick, weighs just 3.3 pounds, so it’s incredibly portable; almost 40 percent thinner and half a pound lighter.
Has two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories and external display up to 6K with 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes in four colors: midnight, starlight, space gray and silver.
With the M2 chip, the MacBook Air is up to 12 times faster than the Intel-based MacBook Air.
It has a powerful 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, a 10-core GPU for lightning-fast graphics, and a 16-core Neural Engine.
The M2 Chip gives you 100GB/s of memory bandwidth and supports up to 24GB of fast unified memory, so you can multitask and work with complex workloads.
With macOS Sonoma, available this fall, you can customize it with widgets and screensavers, as well as have an optimized gaming experience with Game Mode.
