Juan Pablo Montoya, 46, closed an anthology presentation this Sunday at the Indianapolis 500.
Seeking his third title in the iconic race, the experienced rider started from position 30 (after ‘quality’ suffered from technical problems) and finished in 11th place, Chevrolet Arrow in McLaren SP #6.
Even with the final restart, Montoya was very close to breaking into the ‘top 10’ due to the red flag with four laps left.

This Monday, realizing that the idea is different in principle, Montoya said:
“We finished an 11, which didn’t sound very good, but we started at 30. The first pit stops weren’t the best, so it cost us a lot. It was a nice turnaround though, we worked hard all day, a lot of people passed and I enjoyed it, which is the most important thing.“.
Now, with the excitement of the race won by Swedish Marcus Ericsson (Chip Ganassi Racing), a unique video on social media shows Montoya’s influence on motorsport. In the footage, Colombian Yerson Castañeda, who lives in the United States, requests a photo from the pilot.

Sitting on the McClaren team court, the driver immediately greets his fan with a jovial smile.
Then, as fans chant his last name, Montoya approaches the fan barrier. At this point, the end of the first record.

The internet user said that Montoya did not give the photo to him in the first place. Then he said in another comment there was a photo. Also, unexpectedly, the pilot “given something better” to the fan: he signed a cap for her. This is shown in the second image.
