Twitter hasn’t given much detail so far about a vulnerability that appears to have accessed data of 5.4 million users, including their emails and phone numbers.

The investigation since January has been theoretically patched to clarify the access path to the servers.. But a hacker with the username “Devil” has put the information up for sale under the username on an online forum.

According to the announcement, it holds the data of 5,485,636 users, including large companies or celebrities.

The flaw found in the social network allowed simple extraction of email and phone number from any account via the Android client.

The price of the data is $30,000, which is exactly the same as when the data of millions of Chinese were sold for 10 BTC..

However, there is no information about the hacked accounts yet, and Twitter will make the decision on the matter.
