This Saturday, the Colombian Air Force released a statement detailing the entry of a ‘balloon-like’ object into Colombian territory.

In detail, National Air Defense System this Friday morning, it detected an object with balloon characteristics, standing at an altitude of 55,000 feet and moving at 55 knots (about 100 kilometers per hour).

“Thanks to the Defense Systems, the Colombian Air Force tracked the object until it left the airspace. Thanks to this, it was possible to detect the presence of this element. did not pose a threat to national security and defenseas well as air security,” he said.

However, the FAC stated that it is conducting relevant investigations and coordination with different countries and institutions to determine the source of the object.

The Air Force description about the object in question is known at a time when countries such as The United States has alarmed the presence of “spy balloons” on its territory.

In fact, the US military downed a Chinese balloon off the east coast of the country this Saturday, hours after President Joe Biden promised to “deal” with the so-called spying device, according to media reports.
