After that teaser where we were left with long teeth, Thor: Love and Thunder already has a full official trailer. So we can now put a countdown clock on because the film is very close to being released.
Just a month and a week ago, we saw the return of Natalie Portman, who many considered missing due to the fact that she did not appear for a second in the spectacular Thor: Ragnarok. Luckily for everyone, the actress that many of us knew as Padmé (Star Wars) will be the mainstay of the story.
In this case, we can see the villain Gorr, the Butcher God played by Christian Bale. And judging by what we can guess from the trailer we leave below, the comedy elements continue into this fourth installment after it became the main theme of Thor: Ragnarok.
An initial look at Thor: Love and Thunder didn’t reveal much about the plot, in which the Avenger and former king of Asgard experiences a midlife crisis and embarks on a journey with the Guardians of the Galaxy, led by Star-Lord.
If we recap the highlights, we can see Thor working out to shed the extra pounds he put on in the last of the Avengers (Endgame). Returning to battle, he encounters a shocking vision: Jane Foster, his love, dressed as if she were Thor himself.
And we can also see Gorr’s Voldemort-like appearance: pale, bald, hooded, and loves the genocide of the gods. Last but not least, we get our first look at Russell Crowe’s golden Zeus.
Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson, takes the throne of Asgard, and Taika Waititi, who returns to direct after the success of Thor: Ragnarok, also returns to the screen as the lovable but clueless Korg.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8 and is sure to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer. What no one knows is if it will arrive on Disney+ at the same time, as of now Doctor Strange has yet to arrive despite two weeks at the box office.
