New trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder very subtly alludes to death Thor (Chris Hemsworth). While the first trailer showed Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) right at the end as mighty Thor, the second shows the reunion and relationship between the two characters in much more detail. He also shows for the first time hatthe film’s main villain.

You can hear in the trailer Korg – performed by director and screenwriter of the film Taika Waititi – talks about Thor, his adventures, mission to Earth and how he lost weight, always in the past tense. Implying that the superhero is no longer alive, or at least not anymore.

If this happens, Thor’s death Thor: Love and Thunder This shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. For starters, he faces hatthat his mission in life is literally to destroy all the gods. This could very well be a way to take the actor out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He may also have an ending that removes him from the franchise without literally dying. Just like they allowed Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) to leave Avengers: Endgame. This could be a situation where he loses his powers or freedom to defeat the film’s main villain.

And here is the possible departure of Chris Hemsworth from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Thor: Love and Thunderdoes not necessarily mean that Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) will replace him as the Mighty Thor. In a recent interview, the film’s director explained that it most likely won’t happen.

Korg speaks in past tense during the trailer Thor: Love and Thunder it could just be a reference to Asgard on Earth where Thor is no more. But it could also be a way to prepare for a character’s departure from the franchise.
