The thriller movie black phone it was released in theaters yesterday, June 23, and its approval rates on Rotte Tomatoes were recently published, glorifying the feature film, with 87% from critics and 93% by audiences.

Black Phone could have been scarier, but it remains an entertaining product, with good acting rehearsals, drawn from good, rather terrifying source material.

Among the critics who have spoken out for the film is Katie Walsh, of the Tribune News Service, who pointed out that Black Phone is “an incredible dark film about a kidnapped child, with pretty strong off-limits for minors.” While Norman Gidney of Horror Buzz defined this feature film as “one of the best horror films of 2022” in a very simple and direct way. And again, LA Weekly and Village Voice’s Nathaniel Bell added that it’s “a horror with a heart.”

Among the negative reviews, we point to NYC Movie Guru’s Avi Offer, which spoke of Black Phone as a “nasty, forced and immature film that combines horror, science fiction and thriller”. We also note the comments of AA Dowd of Rolling Stone, who spoke of a feature film that curbs the suspense too much compared to the story it is based on.
