After the announcement that the trailer for clerks 3 comes online on July 6, the director Kevin Smith shared the first promotional image of the sequel film. This is a piece of art that shows a padlock locking what should be the store in the middle of the Clerks movie, which will also somehow be re-imagined in this third chapter.
The caption accompanying the Clerks 3 promotional image, translated, reads: “They are too old to make this switch”. Here is the artwork.
The good people in the @Lionsgate marketing department made a lot of great artwork to promote my third one @ClerksMovie – so I’ll be sharing a different image every weekday until the *official* poster is unveiled alongside the debut of the CLERKS III trailer on Wednesday, July 6! pic.twitter.com/350XcEbpeR

Publishing the image, Kevin Smith wrote:
The good folks at Lionsgate in the marketing department have done a lot of artwork to promote Clerks 3. So I’ll be releasing another one every time until the official poster is revealed just before the trailer goes live.
Some time ago, Kevin Smith talked about the trailer for Clerks 3 being shown for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con, and instead fans will be able to see it a few weeks earlier than what Smith himself said. In describing the footage, the filmmaker said:
When the trailer is done, I think they’ll show some scenes where Dante and Randall try to shoot Clerks, even if they call it The Inconvenience. But it’s something we’re all familiar with, and that’s in black and white.
