Breaking Bad is one of the most critically acclaimed series in history, something that earned it several awards, as well as a prequel in the form of Better Call Saul and even a Netflix-funded movie.
And the legacy of Breaking Bad will continue forever in the city of Albuquerque they announced. Official bronze statues of heroes like Walter White and Jesse Pinkman Donated by Sony Pictures himself and series creator Vince Gilligan.
These sculptures were made by the artist. Trevor Grove and the American Fine Arts Foundry and commissioned as a tribute to Albuquerque as a thank you for hosting both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in 2019.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, more than $385 million in economic impact came to New Mexico as a result of filming Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The event also featured Breaking Bad stars such as Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and director Vince Gilligan.
Gilligan said she recognized the statues as follows:two fictitious and notorious methamphetamine dealersThis will not be universally appreciated in New Mexico.
“In all seriousness, some people will say, ‘Wow, just what our city needs. and i understandGilligan explained. “I see two of the best actors America has given us.”.
