Phase 4, 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe focuses on the multiverse and the aftermath of time travel after the events Avengers: Endgame. FROM Kang the Conqueror as the main villain replacing Thanos. He will have to face a good group of superheroes who will gather in Avengers: Kang Dynasty and six months later Avengers: Secret Wars. But he’ll be glad he doesn’t have to fight Tony Stark/Iron Man.
But Kang’s impact on the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even the first three phases, seems to have been underestimated by heroes and villains alike. He explained it in episode 6 Loki. “I paved the way, you followed it.” So the character, or at least the variant that says so, knew about everything that happened to some of the biggest characters, including Tony Stark and his sacrifice at the end. Avengers: Endgame.
The latter not only figured out a way to travel through time, but also clearly understood the danger of this. “If you play with time, it will play with you,” he explained in a scene from Avengers: Endgame.
Tony Stark seems to be the only superhero able to understand the benefits and challenges of time travel, which is Kang the Conqueror’s main draw. So it is especially convenient for the villain that he is no longer alive.

If Thanos’ power was the massive power gained from collecting the Infinity Stones, as shown in avengers infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Kang lies in the ability to control time at will. In the comics, he collected weapons from different eras to become stronger and defeat superheroes. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we don’t yet know how he’s going to do it, but it probably looks like it.
And if there’s one person you wouldn’t want to face, it’s another genius who can figure out how to manage time. It was Tony Stark and he showed it in Avengers: Endgame. Also, in the comics, Kang doesn’t have any superheroes of his own. Everything is based on his intellect, his ingenious ability to invent and his time travel.
All these characteristics are similar to those of Tony Stark. The superhero most similar to him and therefore the one he would fear the most in the event of a confrontation. A lot can happen and another character could emerge to take on some of Stark’s best qualities, like Riri Williams. Or we could see a parallel universe version of the character. We only have to wait a few years to witness the events Avengers: Kang’s Destiny D Avengers: Secret Wars. Until that happens, we will continue to theorize about Kang’s motives and fears.
