“If you find fraud, tell the robot, it will be able to tell you what to do in a specific situation. Furthermore, by analyzing their situations, we will be able to better confront criminals,” says the robot.

By clicking the “Home” button, the bot offers to select the situation in which the user is. For example, you can report the hacking of an account in state services or on a social network, a transfer of money to scammers, or the discovery of personal data on the Internet. By choosing a situation, the bot will give you instructions for future actions.

The Ministry of the Interior noted that the Telegram bot does not accept reports of crimes. If the user has been a victim of fraud, the ministry recommends contacting the police department.

In early December, the head of the technical and forensic department of the Investigative Committee, Ivan Streltsov, stated that the damage caused by the activities of criminals in the three quarters of 2024 reached 150 billion rubles. Of them, 15 billion rubles are due to transactions without the consent of customers, he added.

According to Streltsov, in total during the indicated period the investigative committee registered 353 thousand cases of fraud in the field of information and communications technologies, 25.6% more than in the same period in 2023.
