Rick and Morty 6 It promises to be a pretty quirky season as showrunner Scott Marder has spoken of the fact that the sixth season will have a broader story than previous seasons, unfolding over more episodes.
Scott Marder described the prospects for the sixth season and the fifth finale:
The second part of a larger story will be developed. The Season 5 finale left us with a lot of work to do. We have different versions of the episode and I feel like we’ve finished one chapter but are starting another. There is something dangerous that makes the appearance of the Evil Morty coincide with the beginning of a second part of the larger story.
