If you’re a die-hard Netflix fan or just love to have fun, you’ve probably seen this movie. It’s Time for Me and it’s currently in the top 1 hits on the platform, as it usually is whenever it launches something new, even if it’s the third installment of 365 Days.
Do plot summary: We’re talking about a comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart, we can say a little more than what comes next.
And it’s that Mark’s character is the bored and tired father of the routine who’s about to find time for himself for the first time after two rough years, and things seem about to spiral out of control. He reunited with his friend (Kevin Hart) for a wild weekend.
As you can see, we have a movie pretty empty, entertaining, yes, but that’s about it. And the fact that there are quite critical opinions here, who argue that this borders on the absurd.
That’s where the big problem lies. The critical acclaim completely exposes the poor quality of this film. Rotten Tomatoes, on the other hand, has a 29% audience (based on 500+ ratings).
So we can say that we are facing the biggest career fiasco of these two famous actors, Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg, and if we talk about ticket sales, I’m sure this movie would have been forgotten.
However, it also happens vice versa, the platform, in an attempt, again, unsuccessful, tries to promote it so much in recommendations to users that, those who end up seeing this because they trust what is in the top 1 get a big disappointment.
Although Netflix has always been the platform best known for its series, over the past two years it has changed its business outlook and increased its commitment to films, which of course many doubt the quality of the platform.
Of course, we don’t want to mess around with the content grid of this one, but we can find some great hidden gems that aren’t on any top and are worth a lot more.
