Warner Bros. continues to focus on linear TV despite the launch of Discovery+. At the end of the month, a new channel will debut on the Italian digital terrestrial and, according to more and more rumors, it could Warner TV.
A new channel entirely dedicated to the cinema giant’s catalog, including movies, TV series, cartoons and much more. According to some newspapers, Warner entrusted the new project to Laura Carafoli, Discovery’s former Senior VP Chief Content Officer.
It’s rather curious news, given that virtually all Warner competitors have decided to focus on streaming, breaking away from digital terrestrial and satellite (think Disney’s emblematic case: its channels have disappeared from SKY).
The new channel will make its debut on October 30 (just in time for Halloween night, by the way). With the news starting to bounce on industry sites and magazines, it seems very likely that an official announcement will be coming soon.
