M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-size doll programmed to be children’s best companion and parents’ best ally. Designed by Gemma (Allison Williams of Get Out), a brilliant robotics from a toy company, M3GAN can listen, watch and learn, becoming a friend and teacher, playmate and protector of the child she is attached to. suddenly becomes the guardian of 8-year-old orphaned niece Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), insecure and unprepared to grow up. Under a heavy workload, Gemma decides to combine her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to solve both problems – a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
Produced by Jason Blum and James Wan, M3GAN is directed by award-winning director Gerard Johnstone (Housebound), with the screenplay by Akela Cooper (Malignant, The Nun 2) based on a story by Akela Cooper and James Wan.
