Sony would have no plans no PlayStation Showcase or state of play rather relevant Sep 2022 At least this is what the AccountNGT insider reported on Twitter, pointing out that, according to sources close to him, Sony is preparing a showcase with several announcements.
Known for making some predictions in recent months that later turned out to be correct, the twitter user went on to confirm that one exists. Sly Cooper for PS5 in development and will be presented this year, but as he already noted, in all likelihood this title will also be presented in September 2022.
BTW, the same source told me a few weeks ago that no big showcase was planned until September, which coincides with another announcement in September.

The insider hypothesis is actually not that improbable. Sony could in fact choose to opt for the same communication strategy as last year with a State of Play, and therefore a small event, which will be presented in the summer and a PlayStation showcase fuller in September.
Meanwhile too Jeff Grubb had reported that Sony was planning a new presentation event before early June. In fact, if it were a state of affairs, the information from both insiders could be aligned as the user AccountNGT was only talking about a major event. To find out, we just have to wait.
