A few hours before EL TIEMPO announced the decision of the Disciplinary Investigation Department of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, A letter was sent to Leyva’s lawyer via email requesting information.

And following legal procedure, Notification was sent to the President regarding EL TIEMPO’s exclusive provision.

Inside The document was also sent to the legal secretary (e) Claudia Eugenia Sánchez.

There are two background elements in the notification.

First, President Petro was informed: “With its decision dated January 24, 2023, approved according to the extraordinary session minutes number 4, the Disciplinary Instruction Department of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a temporary restraining order within the framework of the periods stipulated in Article 217 of the General Disciplinary Law.As Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Dr. Without the right to any remuneration during the three (3) month term of office of Álvaro Leyva.”

And secondly,We would like to inform you that it has been decided to “temporarily suspend him from his duty as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for three (3) months”.“.

He also stated that there was no objection to the temporary restraining order.

As far as the Attorney General is concerned, it is clear that the Chancellor has been suspended from office since he was notified.

So things are like this: If decisions are made, such as a letter of protest to the Argentinian president or any documents from the new passport tender, these may become invalid if sued.
