STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl used to be postponed officially until 2023. The confirmation came with a trailer shown during the final stages of the Xbox Showcase Extended, along with a video diary documenting the complex situation Ukrainian developers are experiencing after the Russian invasion.
Despite the difficulties that upset the lives of developers forced to join the military in the war against Russia, GSC Game World and Microsoft wanted to join forces to give the public a new trailer. The film reveals the introductory series of Stalker 2 and depicts a truck driving into the contamination zone, aiming to unravel the secrets of a “new world”. In the end, however, something goes wrong.
Take on the role of a lone stalker and explore a huge, photo-realistic 64 km² open world in a radioactive zone with many different environments, which can reveal the different facets of the post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Blast your way through the Zone to find your destiny and shape the destiny of humanity, choosing your own path in an epic, branching story.
Meet members of different factions and decide which of them deserves your friendship and which deserves a bullet. Engage in intense firefights with a wide variety of enemies who follow different tactics to outsmart you. Choose your favorite firearms from over 30 types, with tons of customizations that allow you to create hundreds of deadly combinations.
Stalker 2 will be available in 2023 for Windows PC and Xbox Series S/X.
