A new model is about to hit the portable console market. It would be nothing more than Lenovo Legion Go Sa cheaper version of the original Legion Go, which will introduce important changes on an aesthetic level and of which we have already seen the first leaked images.
Recognized source of information Evan Blass shared three promotional images of the Lenovo Legion Go S on X (Twitter). The material looks true to life and shows off a compact device with a much more curved format in the grip areas. But the main difference on an aesthetic and functional level is that this variant cannot undock controllers a la Nintendo Switch.
Although its specifications and price have not yet been disclosed, it is obvious that the changes are due to the need to introduce a cheaper variant of the Legion Go. Let’s remember that the current model, released in 2023, debuted at a price of 799 euros, but is now on sale on the Lenovo website at a higher price: from 899 euros and with limited stock.
Of course it is This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the Lenovo Legion Go S.. The first signs of the device were revealed in May from a report Windows Centeralthough at that time it was identified with the tentative name Legion Go Lite. The name Legion Go S was revealed in August when Lenovo revealed some details about the product on its website.
What can we expect from Lenovo Legion Go S?
While the images posted by Evan Blass give an interesting look at the design of the Lenovo Legion Go S, its specifications table still remains a mystery. According to previous leaks, this variant will include 7 inch screen; That is much smaller than the 8.8-inch original Legion Go.
Since the current model is only offered with the AMD Z1 Extreme chip, there is speculation that Lenovo could equip the Legion Go S with regular Z1. I’d also equip it with an HDMI port, a feature the larger model lacks. However, the biggest new feature may be in the software section.

Two of the three photos shared by Blass show the Legion Go S in black, while the remaining one shows Lenovo’s next device in white. Nothing too revealing yet. However the black version clearly shows the Steam logo on the button closest to the top left corner of the screen. Meanwhile, the white block also has a button, but it doesn’t seem to have the Valve platform icon on it.

This suggests that Lenovo may release two versions: one with SteamOS, the Steam Deck operating system, and the other with Windows 11.. Let’s keep in mind that Valve just updated its brand guidelines and that all signs point to its software starting to be used on third-party handheld consoles.
Speculation aside, we won’t have to wait too long to learn more about the Lenovo Legion Go S. The brand could take advantage CES 2025In early January we will present this version of the console and new accessories.
