Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 Royal will not allowupgrade from PS4 to PS5. The news comes from the FAQ page posted on the game’s Japanese website, with the developer explaining that there are currently no plans to offer updates for the next-gen version.
This means that the owners of the PS4 version of the game will not be able to take advantage of an upgrade, free or paid, to the next-gen edition. The only way to access the adventure is therefore the aBuy the PS5 version at full price by Persona 5 Royal.
This is news that fans of the saga will certainly turn their noses at, who will have to spend more to replay the adventure in the most recent version 80 euros. A way too high amount for those who already have the game.
