During State of Play, Sony introduced cool new trailer God of War Ragnarok, the most anticipated game on the PlayStation platform in the second half of the year. Most of the trailer reveals completely new moments, mechanics and scenarios. Some were concerned that the game would mostly take place in the previously visited realms of Norse mythology, but thankfully this is not the case.
This is the first time that Sony Santa Monica, the studio behind the development, delve into the story what awaits us in God of War Ragnarok. Thanks to the age jump of Atreus, we can assume that the story takes place a few years after the events of the first part. The latter already foresaw the Nordic apocalypse and the emergence of a key character in this mythology: Thor.
Yes, Kratos will fight the God of Thunder. God of War Ragnarok. In fact, the trailer already allows us to see a short sequence of such an event. But aside from new enemies to face and new scenarios to explore, it’s clear that the relationship between Kratos and his son is still quite complicated; Atreus has grown up and no longer hesitates when he sees fit to confront his father. There will be many external conflicts, but also internal conflicts that the two of you will have to deal with.
