“I thank the United Kingdom for its decision to lift the tourist visa requirement for Colombian visitors,” the head of state said.

In Tril, the head of state did not elaborate on when the announcements will take effect.

But this Tuesday, the British ambassador to Colombia, George Hodgson, said at a press conference at his residence in Bogota: From 9 November Colombians will be able to enter the UK for 6 months without a visa.

The estimated time required to apply for a tourist visa to the UK is approximately three months. Then the visa delivery time is fifteen working days. Requirements include:

– Ordinal passport with at least two blank pages and the validity period of the document covering the entire period of stay in the UK.
– Non-English documents must be translated into that language.
– Specify round-trip dates.
– To discuss the reasons for their stay and to indicate the city and hotel they will go to.
