The European Commission approved the acquisition of American video game giant Activision Blizzard by Microsoft on Monday. It will pay $69,000 million three weeks after a British veto questioning the purchase.
The EU executive body has made it a condition for Microsoft to comply with measures that guarantee competition in the online gaming market, according to a Commission statement.
The statement added that these commitments “fully resolve the competition concerns raised by the Commission.” Microsoft, which currently owns Xbox, began acquiring Activision Blizzard over a year ago. Creator of iconic games like “Call of Duty”, “World of Warcraft” and “Candy Crush”.
