This Wednesday Mark Zuckerberg has announced a number of updates for WhatsApp, especially in voice messages. These changes will help make it easier to send and receive them.

“Every day, people on WhatsApp send 7 billion voice messages. That’s why we’ve added some new features like non-chat playback, the ability to pause recording, and draft preview to make it easier to send and listen to your messages,” said Zuckerberg.

Users of this app can be calm because Messages are protected and kept private with end-to-end encryption anytime.

Ever since the app launched voicemail in 2013, they knew it would revolutionize the way people communicate.

A simple design has been maintained during these years, but each time they make improvements that help the user have a better experience.

The new features are: Playing voice memos outside of chat allows the user to read and reply to other messages at the same time.

Recordings can be paused and resumed if you are interrupted by something or need to gather your thoughts.

When you have finished your message, you will be able to listen to a draft before sending it.

Also, while listening to the messages, the user will have a visual representation in the form of a sound wave. And if you want, you can listen faster at 1.5x and 2x speeds.

Finally, if the person is listening to the message, pauses it, and leaves the chat or app, you can now remember how far behind the note was.

Voice messages have allowed people to express their emotions quickly and easily and have more meaningful conversations. It is the preferred form of communication for many people on WhatsApp.
