Cancellation of in-person and virtual versions of E3 2022, which hope to return in 2023, “Summer Game Fest 2022” is an event that aims to “bring the whole industry and their fans together”.

Geoff Keighley, organizer and host of ‘Summer Game Fest’, stated on his personal Twitter account that he “worked hard in June to bring the entire industry and fans together.”

Keighley admitted that there was “not the path” he thought he was on, but assured that he would “continue to persevere and build”. He also took the opportunity to “thank all the comments, ideas and thoughts about the Summer Game Festival” that came to him throughout the week.

When asked by a social network user about the quality of the latest ‘Summer Game Fest’ compared to E3, Keighley assured him that he doesn’t want to be “compared to the E3 of the past” since “the industry has changed”.
