Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo already have at least one foldable smartphone in their device catalog. The party was yet to be joined by Vivo, which had just announced its first mobile phone with a flexible screen. Vivo X Fold. This terminal has a design very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold, Samsung’s flagship foldable smartphone. Also with very similar characteristics, but with a slight difference that will allow the Asian manufacturer to position its new model as the best possible alternative: it is more stable.

Vivo X Fold is a foldable book phone. That is, its screen folds and unfolds in a landscape format. Thus, when folded, the terminal can maintain dimensions similar to those of any other smartphone. Good, become a compact tablet when your screen is down.

The difference compared to Samsung’s foldable model is that the X Fold withstands more folds: 300,000 versus 200,000 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It also includes IP68-certified water and dust resistance.

Vivo X Fold also has 6.53″ outer panel. Yet with Full HD+ resolution, albeit retaining a 120Hz refresh rate, this screen allows you to navigate the interface and view content when the main panel is folded down.

New from Qualcomm and a quad camera signed by Zeiss

The Vivo X Fold doesn’t compromise on performance. No photo section. Manufacturer chose Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 12 GB of RAM and internal memory up to 512 GB, more than enough configuration to perform any task, even the most demanding ones. And all this on top of a 4600 mAh battery that supports fast and wireless charging.

In terms of cameras, the Vivo X Fold has main lens 50 megapixels signed by Zeiss, a German manufacturer of lenses and optics. It is accompanied by a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as two telephoto lenses. The first, 12-megapixel, is capable of taking pictures with a triple optical zoom. The second, with a resolution of 8 megapixels, can reach 5x magnification in optical format. It also includes two additional selfie cameras, one located on the outer screen and the other on the inner panel. In both cases with a resolution of 16 megapixels.
