WhatsApp’s new feature is its own exclusive chat for linked devices.

WhatsApp is still working on some improvements to its multi-device feature. After announcing that the company is developing an improved version of the system, Meta wants to allow us to use chat itself on linked devices in a future update.

One of the missing features of multidevice is the ability to send messages to yourself from a connected device. We’ve all been doing this for a decade.

In fact, thousands of users are accustomed to chatting with each other, opening a group with themselves for various reasons, for example: remind you to buy the medicines you need, write down the food you miss, or remember the doctor’s time.

Unfortunately, this is no longer possible when using the multi-device feature because the chat with your own phone number is only displayed on the main device, but WhatsApp is developing a fix that will be released in a future WhatsApp beta update.

As you can see in the screenshot, When you search for contacts in the WhatsApp Desktop beta, you will be able to send messages to yourself in the future by clicking on your private chat.

Please note that this chat will also show up when you try to log in to WhatsApp from another mobile device when this feature becomes available to people.

As always, although the screenshot is taken from the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop, WhatsApp is also planning to introduce the same feature in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and iOS.

New options should be supported in the future: the ability to clear or delete chats on paired devices if the primary device is iPhone, the ability to view live location on paired devices, and the ability to create and view broadcast lists on paired devices.

Unfortunately, this feature is under development and will be released in a future app update, but we don’t have a date there is no way now. So we must wait.
