As for the Eymerich cycle, there are eleven novels published by Valerio Evangelisti. The protagonist of the stories is Nicolas Eymerich, an inquisitor who investigates mysterious phenomena in medieval Europe.
Among his other works, there is also the Pantera cycle, starring the mysterious sniper wizard, and the Magus trilogy, which tells the life of Nostradamus. In 1994 Valerio Evangelisti won the Urania Prize with the novel Nicolas Eymerich, Inquisitor, his first fictional work, as the writer had until then mainly published historical essays.
