Arcade continues its slow but steady resurgence. After visiting places like the Museum of Vintage Arcades (Ibi, Alicante), Arcade Planet (Dos Hermanas, Seville) or the Mikado Game Center (Tudela, Navarra), we finally welcome Temple of the Arcade at Grignon, Madrid.

The collection, owned by the 6 founding members, includes over 60 slot machines from the 80s and 90s and 14 pinballs. In some cases, these plates are mounted on original furniture, as is the case with Arch Rivals, Tekken, Final Fight or Missile Command.
While other times we are going to find two or four player universal furniture and Sega furniture like Naomi or Astro City.
As for the catalog, the room has gun games like Police 24/7, The House of the Dead (which just got a remake for Nintendo Switch) or Time Crisis. In racing games we find Out Runners, 18 Wheeler, Crazy Taxi, Le Mans 24 or Harley Davidson & LA Riders. And yes, that mythical “Carlos Sainz” from Gaelco.
And of course there’s no shortage of classics like Snow Bros, Captain Commando, Street Fighter II, Tetris, Golden Ax, Donkey Kong and the legendary Pac-Man. The Arcade Temple Gaming Exhibition Expanded foosball, Scalextric and console area.
In the console section you will find classic cars connected to a tube TVso that we can play retro games from Atari VCS 2600, PC Engine or Nintendo 64. But we must warn you that this is a living museum and that this collection will change over time.
There is also a section dedicated simply to an exhibition of old consoles and classic video games. And a workshop (not accessible to the public) where cars are repaired.
Where is the arcaded temple
The arcade temple is located in the town of Grignon, located south of Madrid (about 30 minutes by car from the capital). This is an industrial warehouse located at C/ Orión Nº1.
How much does it cost to enter Temple Arcade?
No need to enter coins to enjoy arcade games. In this room, you can pay for a ticket and enjoy all the games you want (if we got into it when we were young, we wouldn’t be taken out of there).
Entrance to the center costs 10 euros per day. and will let you play all the games as many times as you want or buy monthly subscription for 25 euros go as many times as you want. Children enter for free.
When will the arcade open?
We have already managed to visit the Temple of the Arcade, and it is about to open its doors. The partners explained to us that they only need a license to open (which depends on the city hall of Grignon), but opening is scheduled for this spring.
